I was sick of balms that were either too waxy or melted too easily, so I made my own. These balms mix beeswax with shea butter, almond oil, avocado oil, coconut oil and castor oil for a nourishing lip balm that coats without being waxy and has just a little bit of shine. They will survive being kept in a pocket, although I suggest twisting the balm down, and I have run my personal lip balms through the washer and dryer on warm without them melting all over my laundry.
